The 2012 Unite for Life – Houston Family FunFest is a single-day event whose mission is to (1) bring families together to celebrate life and to enjoy fun activities with the children, and (2) mobilize pro-life Houstonians by introducing them to many local pro-life organizations that will have booths describing their various pro-life activities.
Attendees will be encouraged to commit to becoming active in one or more of these organizations. We are hoping to attract those who are looking for a way to make a difference and those who may need a little push and motivation to get involved.
We will have motivational speakers who will encourage families to work in the pro-life movement. Pro-life movies will also be shown during the event in some of the University of St. Thomas classrooms. There will be children's games and activities and food will be available for purchase. This event will have a family festival environment, complete with a live band.
Solicitor General of Texas. Ted Cruz has fought to protect innocent human life. He played a leading role in several important cases, including the defense of the partial-birth abortion ban, parental consent laws, and prohibiting state funds from going to abortion. These cases have all been part of the ongoing effort to ensure that every child in America receives the protection and respect he or she deserves. Our second speaker will be Dr. John Bruchalski, former abortionist and founder of the nation's largest pro-life Ob/Gyn practice. You'll be amazed to hear his stories! Our emcee will be Matt Patrick, Houston radio host at AM 740 and AM 950 and vocal public supporter of life.
In between the speeches there will be time for attendees to visit Pro-Life booths, where they can learn more about various Pro-Life organizations and how to become involved.
